Sheryl Goodman was born in Los Angeles, California and is now living in San Diego. She is a self-taught artist who has always found joy in creating from the heart. Sheryl is inspired by the beauty and textures of nature and uses paper, patterns and paint to create unique mixed-media, collage artwork.

She is always amazed by the feelings a piece of artwork can bring out in someone if that person really takes a moment to take it all in. Marion is inspired by joy, strength, boldness and humor and is equally intrigued by imperfection and exaggeration. “Creating an image to your own ideals is so much more fun – and interesting – and emotionally evocative.” She works with exaggeration, symbolism and distortion, as well as shapes that are different and unexpected. Amazing color control gives her paintings power and strength, and the combination of bold hues, contrast and abstract design, depict her own feelings toward the subject matter. Marion has garnered numerous juried awards for her paintings, and more than one thousand Collectors around the globe, who resonate with her visions.
She signs all her paintings with her initials - “me!” – the exclamation mark is based on the adage, “live your life as an exclamation, not an explanation.” Marion paints, runs her own gallery and resides in Sidney by the Sea, on Vancouver Island,  Canada.

Her current work merges assemblage with fine art painting, her use of layered papers and textures serve as a ground upon which her semi-abstract paintings are built. Along with creating in her Southern California studio, Denise teaches mixed media painting classes and is a founding member of the San Diego professional artists group, F1VEart.

Susie was born and raised in the countryside in  Vermont.
Pleasant memories of my childhood bring me back to nature and its changing seasons.
The early flowers and birds that welcome spring, the luscious green leaves and warm
nights of summer, the beautiful, magical colors of autumn and the white snows of
winter. I feel most at home when I’m surrounded by nature and find it frequently
emerging as a theme in my work. I am an artist and I paint abstracts in acrylic and
mixed media. Early in my art career I attended a workshop on art journaling and fell in love with the creative process. The act of expressing myself in a journal format really captivated my imagination and it was through art journaling that I was able to heal many of my oldest
wounds. I was delighted to find a way to allow and accept my truest self... Click here to continue reading about Susie

Yahel Yan

Artist's Bio

  • Facebook

Yahel Yan - born and raised in Mexico City where I was exposed to art and color from a young age. I completed my schooling and graduated with a degree in graphic design but have since then devoted myself to art both as a painter and printmaker. I specialize in oil, acrylics, and copper etchings and digital painting. My palette and compositions lend life and spirit to inanimate objects which are often overlooked. I am always seeking to express the unexpected, unseen magic hidden in each “thing.” So why chairs? I see chairs not as objects but as people with a personality of their own as well as with a story to tell. Every
time I look at a chair, or a group of chairs I see them alive and interacting, I create a
story around them, I admire their differences and what they seem to be expressing or
telling us. In my paintings I want the audience to feel and view the chair not as an object, but as something that is alive. I wish for my art to inspire humanity and love for one another.
